Small scale Agriculture (Hydroponics or Aquaponics)

Team Members: Saran R. Problem Statement: Today's world sees food production as a business opportunity looking to make optimum profits neglecting the impacts processed and adulterated foods have on people. Not everyone can afford to take up any form of gardening on aquaculture to grow fruit and vegetable produce as it requires a lot of effort and capital. These processed and adulterated foods are causing unwanted health effects and diseases over the long run. People must be able to grow their own produce sustainably. User Persona: Urban citizens who have limited space and time and are willing to grow their own food. Interview:  Who faces this problem ? This problem is faced by most of us as we do not have access to fresh organic produce and are forced to consume adulterated foods. Mostly experienced by urban families and individuals who cannot get access to organic produce. Why could this be a problem ?  Adulterations from food can cause cancer, and it is proved by studies. Cancer causing carcinogens are present in fertilizers and adulterants. These processed foods can also decrease our immunity.   How can this be solved ?  This can be solved by intensive vegetable gardening using aquaculture…

Validating the effects of climate change

Team Members: Arun Vijay S, Saran R Problem Statement: Greta Thunberg, a climate activist from Sweden, 16 years old, in spite of her globally acclaimed efforts to make lawmakers enforce laws to reduce their carbon footprint , is failing to succeed as lawmakers are ignorant of the effects of climate change and are refusing to believe it. Even large sections of the general public are refusing to take action on reducing their carbon footprint as they are not aware of climate change and are refusing to acknowledge it's effects, or even believe that climate change is real. A lack of information about the environmental parameters such as CO2 content in the air and the density of particulate matter is holding back people who are ready to take action, and ask lawmakers to enforce laws that curb the growing effect on climate change. User Persona: Climate change: Industries failing to recognize their contribution to acceleration of climate change, general public who take resources for granted and pollute their local environments, governments who fail to prohibit vehicle laws on their own buses and on the general public, not take necessary action to curb emissions from older vehicles that have no pollution control…
