  • The usage of smart devices and continuous screen engagement may not have an immediate impact on the vision capability of a person. But there is significant damage done to the eyes due to continuous and nonregulated usage. Users know that there is some effect on their vision due to constant engagement but due to the nature of impact (i.e symptoms or effects appear only after a threshold), users can't quantify the impact on their eyes on day to day basis This gives the users a perception that they are not getting affected.

  • Anyone with significant screen time used as a part of their profession or for entertainment purposes.

  • Once when I was playing cricket on an evening I stood near the boundary and couldn't see the ball and then realized my issue with eyes and consulted a doctor and I've been told that I was neglecting my issue with eye strain for a long time which caused me higher eyesight. Many People like me neglect to consult a doctor for Eye checkup the reasons for this negligence could be laziness or considering the consultation to be a waste of time and money. This motivated us to put out the problem of not checking the eyes frequently.

We have also noticed that dedication towards mobile games and movies have a large impact on the eye strain of a person. The screen time of a person affects the eyesight of a person in a gradual manner. This motivated us to work on suggesting the users' appropriate screen time.
